De deurschakelaar is het kleine mechanische drukknopje dat zich in de stijlen van het carrosserieframe bevindt. Bij de Aixam-modellen (City, Coupé, Crossline, GTO, Roadline, enz.) en bij het zustermerk Minauto zijn deze onderdelen gestandaardiseerd. Deze schakelaar vervult twee essentiële functies: hij schakelt automatisch de binnenverlichting in wanneer de deur wordt geopend en stuurt een elektrisch signaal naar het dashboard om het waarschuwingslampje of het akoestische “deur open”-alarm te activeren.
