De thermostaat (vaak calorstat genoemd) is een mechanische thermostatische klep die zich in het koelsysteem bevindt. Op de Aixam- en Minauto-modellen uit de Ambition-reeks (aangedreven door de tweecilinder dieselmotor van Kubota) fungeert hij als een thermische “regelaar”.
